I did this painting in Coulans-sur-Gee, France while I was staying at a gite for a week. The brilliant red poppies called out to me to paint them.

Poppy Field in France will be on exhibit at the 23rd Annual Holiday Membership show at Gallery 110 North, Plymouth from December 7, 2018 – January 25 2019. Admission is free.

Opening Reception Friday, December 7, 2018 4:30 pm – 7:30 pm. Over 88 artists. Complimentary refreshments and cash bar. Piano music by Mary Fellanz and Andrew Krueger.

The judge Joye Moon is an artist, educator, and author of Exploring Textures in Watercolor. She has taught over 200 watercolor workshops.

Best of Show First through Third Place and Merit Awards will be presented at 6:30 pm.

Gallery hours: Tuesday – Friday 10 am – 4 pm. Saturday and Sunday noon – 3 pm. Closed Monday and holidays.

You are invited to attend the opening reception for Sheboygan Visual Artists’ newest exhibit Kaleidoscope Christmas, their annual holiday show and sale on Friday, November 30, 2018 from 6 pm to 9 pm at EBCO Artworks, located at 1201 Erie Avenue, Sheboygan. 29 artists will have their art for sale.

Free Refreshments. Cash Bar. Music. Jonathan Block will entertain us with some holiday Magic.

Plein Air Travels

I have 49 paintings at the University of Wisconsin, Sheboygan Fine Arts Gallery, 1 University Drive, Sheboygan during the month of November and December. It is a collection of paintings from my travels in Europe, the United States, a few from China.

Opening Reception Friday, November 2 from 6 pm to 8 pm. Refreshments served. Please come. I would like to meet you.

Gallery hours are 8 am – 5 pm Monday – Friday. May close early on Friday.
