Beach Lilacs $280 14″x22″ watercolor
I am pleased to announce that I have an exhibit at Glas, a coffeehouse along the Sheboygan River December 1, 2013 – February 1, 2014. Glas is located at 924 N. 14th Street/Niagara Avenue, Sheboygan. (map)
Opening reception is Saturday, December 7, 2013 10 am – Noon.
I will be doing a painting demonstration during the reception.
Art Talk on Sunday, December 15, 2013 noon – 1:15 pm. I will talk about selected paintings on display.
Glas is more than just a place to enjoy a really good cup of coffee. It’s a warm, inviting coffeehouse where you can relax, enjoy a good conversation, take in the view from the lounge upstairs or patio by the river, experience local art, and listen to live music.
Glas, the Gaelic word for ‘green’, reflects their strong Irish heritage and their commitment to protecting the environment. You will find lattes, breves, cappuccinos, americanos, macchiatos, mochas, all-natural hot cocoa, fruit smoothies, beer, wine, as well as a few specialty drinks. They serve only loose-leaf teas to provide the highest quality tea by the cup or by the pot. Sandwiches and light entrees are also served there. Try one of their sweet delicacies like biscotti, muffins, scones, bagels, sweet bars, or fresh cookies from the bakery.
During Happy Hour on Mondays through Fridays from 4 pm to 6 pm… lattes and cappuccinos are $2.50.
Bike riders receive a 10% discount for minimizing our carbon footprint.
Free WiFi and computer access is sponsored by Cellcom, located next door.
Nsight, the owners of Glas, is conscious of the environment when they construct their buildings. Their choice of interior furnishings, equipment and products demonstrate their concern for the environment.
Honey, farm fresh eggs, cheese, milk products, and coffee are bought locally.
Products used are made of recycled/green materials, including plastic carry-out cups made of at least 50% recycled materials, paper cups made of 24 post consumer contents, cup sleeves made of 100% recycled paper/90% post consumer,100% water-based ink, and sugar cane carry-out containers.
